The pitch-calling system is designed for fast, accurate, and discreet communication between the coaching staff and players on the field.

Using PitchLinq - Coach, the coach can quickly select three key elements of a pitch:

  • Pitch type (customizable)

    1. Baseball

      1. Fastball

      2. Curveball

      3. Change Up

      4. Slider

      5. Sinker

      6. Four-Seam

    2. Softball

      1. Fastball

      2. Change Up

      3. Dropball

      4. Curveball

      5. Screwball

      6. Riseball

  • Horizontal location

    1. Inside

    2. Outside

  • Vertical location

    1. High

    2. Low

Once the selection is made, the coach simply taps Send, and PitchLinq - Player units instantly display the pitch call.

Each player wearing a PitchLinq - Player will also feel a haptic vibration alert, ensuring they never miss an incoming signal.

In addition to pitch calls, the system includes 7 quick-access messages (customizable) for fast in-game communication.

  • Pick off 1st

  • Pick off 2nd

  • Pick off 3rd

  • Call Time / Mound Visit

  • Reset and Relax

  • Stay Aggressive

  • Drop 3rd

These messages can be sent in two ways:

  • Broadcast to PitchLinq - Player units at the same time

  • Direct message to a specific PitchLinq - Player unit, allowing the coach to communicate individually with either the catcher or the pitcher as needed (see notes below).

The result is a smooth, silent, and reliable communication workflow that keeps everyone on the same page and improves the speed and precision of in-game decisions.

Notes

  • PitchLinq - Starter Pack works the same way as described above.

  • PitchLinq - Tournament Pack has 4 PitchLinq - Player units. The units are grouped, 2 in pitchers group and 2 in catchers group. If you choose to send a direct message to the pitcher both PitchLinq - Player units in the pitchers group will receive the message.
